Holy Week

Mass of Chrism, Spy Wednesday, 7pm in the Cathedral
Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Smith, priests and people representing the 69 parishes in the Diocese of Meath. The holy chrism is consecrated and the other oils used in the celebration of the sacraments are blessed. Refreshments in the Parish Community Centre afterwards. All are welcome.

Mass of the Lord's Supper, Holy Thursday, 7.30pm in the Cathedral
With this Mass, the Church devotes itself to the remembrance of the Last Supper.
Mass will be followed by procession to the Altar of Repose.
Adoration concludes with Night Prayer at 10pm.


Good Friday, Celebration of the Lord's Passion
a day of prayer, fasting and abstinence

12 noon: Way of the Cross along the canal, from St Paul's Church to the Cathedral
3.00pm & 7.30pm: Cathedral, Good Friday Passion and Veneration of the Cross
3.00pm: St Paul's, Gainstown & Walshestown Churches,Good Friday Passion
7.00pm: Brotenstown, Way of the Cross


Holy Saturday, Easter Vigil, 9.00pm in the Cathedral
We celebrate Jesus' resurrection; we listen to the Easter readings, celebrate the light of Christ, renew our baptismal promises and receive the Eucharist.

Dawn Mass at 6.15am on the Shores of Lough Ennell (Bloomfield)

St Paul's 10.30am & 12 noon
