  • An Invitation to Create a May Altar The month of May is a very special time in the Church’s year, as we honour Mary, the Mother of God.

May has long been known as Mary’s Month, a time when Catholics throughout the world express particular love and devotion to Our Lady, who has also been given to us by Jesus as our mother.

One of the most beautiful traditions associated with this month is the creation of a May Altar in the home or classroom. Many families and schools continue this simple but deeply meaningful practice, especially as children prepare for or celebrate their First Holy Communion during May.

Read the Parish Newsletter for more details about creating this sacred space in your home or classroom.

Rosary for the Month of May

    • Tuesdays; Railway Station, 6.15pm

    • Wednesdays, Cathedral Grounds, 6pm.

    Also, Daily Parish Rosary:

    • Rosary prayed at 8:45am before 9:15am Mass in St Paul's

    • and at 9:30am before 10am Mass in the Cathedral.

  • That everyone might have food: Let us pray that everyone, from large producers to small consumers, be committed to avoid wasting food, and to ensure that everyone has access to quality food.

  • May is a joyful month in our parish as we celebrate First Holy Communion with our young boys and girls.

Ceremonies will take place on Saturday 9th, 16th, and 23th May in our churches.

Please keep the children and their families in your prayers as they prepare to receive Jesus in the Eucharist for the first time.

We give heartfelt thanks to all who have supported them on this journey—school chaplains, teachers, principals, parents, and families—for their generous commitment, faith, and preparation.

May these celebrations be a time of grace, joy, and deep encounter with the Risen Lord.

  • Part 1 of our faith discussion walks through Luke and Acts to focus on Jesus and help you read and understand scripture.

Join in for brief videos & talk through questions in small groups. No right or wrong answers.

  • The Bishop of Meath, Most Rev. Tom Deenihan, has issued a new Pastoral Letter on the future of parish life in our diocese. This letter reflects on what it means today to belong to a parish community, and how each parish is called to be a place of welcome, faith, and mission. We encourage all parishioners to read the letter, reflect on it, and pray for the future of our parish family. You can download it here:
