On Gaudete Sunday, 14 December, we celebrate Baimbinelli Sunday.

We invite all children, families and parishioners to bring the baby Jesus figure from your home crib - even your whole crib - to any of our parish masses, either Saturday evening or Sunday, 14 December.

After each mass, we’ll have a special blessing of the Bambinelli - asking God’s grace upon our homes and families as we prepare for Christmas. All are welcome to be a part of this beautiful tradition, begun by Pope John Paul II.

Our annual Parish Choral Service taks place on Sunday, 14 December, at 5 pm in the Cathedral.

All are welcome as we begin the Advent season in prayer and song.

We especially welcome 6th class pupils from our parish schools and families. During the service, a group of students will join our choirs to sing ‘Away in a Manger’ and place small wrapped gifts on the altar rails as part of our parish collection for the Society of St Vincent de Paul.
